Towards Creative Inclusion in Adult Education
Adults with disabilities have the right to utilise their creative, artistic and intellectual potential as everybody else and to receive appropriate instruction, training and resources to do so. At least, according to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
As signatories of the Convention, the EU and its Memeber States, as well as civil society, still have a lot to do to ensure inclusion of adults with disabilities in arts education.
Therefore, we are organising an event in which we will discover good practices and opportunities of improvement as we bring together policy-makers, artists, teachers, cultural centres, service providers and organisations of persons with disabilities.
This event is organised under the framework of the Erasmus+ Project “Creative Inclusion in Adult Education”, which main objective is the cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices on arts education for adults with disabilities.
The project is carried out by different partners from the disability sector and different European countries: COPE Foundation (Ireland), EASPD (Europe), ENCC (Belgium), ASVO (Italy) and LADAPT (France), as well as the e-learning organisation Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland).
