Civil society in action: European Bioeconomy Strategy

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will hold a public hearing on the updated bioeconomy strategie on 28 February, from 9am to 1pm. Speakers will discuss the opportunities and obstacles of a sustainable and circular bioeconomy.
Attendees are invited to participate with their views on what this can mean for Europe.
Two themes will be covered – the first on how to find and implement opportunities in a sustainable manner, looking to the forestry and food sectors for inspiration. The second theme will explore how to overcome the obstacles of access to financeand how to stimulate markets.
