Rethinking Global Engagement in Higher Education
The Global goals for sustainable development (SDGs) are becoming more and more embedded in society. Everything and everyone is needed to come to a sustainable answer to these global challenges.
Especially in higher education the SDGs find fertile soil to integrate both the international and sustainability agenda, putting global engagement at the core of the vision and strategy of institutional internationalisation.
Global Engagement is about entering into meaningful partnerships with partners around the world. It reflects a movement that goes beyond traditional international activities. It implies a deeper and more long-term involvement based on reciprocity and equity. Global Engagement is considered to be a response to globalisation that affect almost all aspects of life and society today.
An inspirational framework on global engagement in higher education will be launched during this conference.
