Flanders takes the initiative: towards a better environment

What to expect?

Environmental laws have a huge impact on our lives. EU legislation improves water and air quality, nature protection, recycling and waste management.

Therefore this year the European Green Week focuses on the implementation of environmental legislation. The European Commission will publish a report on the state of affairs later this month.

A keynote speaker from the European Commission will launch the VLEVA event. He/she will give an overview of the 7th environmental action program (EAP) and some first insights on the 8th EAP. Different Flemish civil society organizations will close off the event by explaining their initiatives on how to achieve a better environment.

Keep an eye on our website, the full programme will be available soon.
