European strategy on clean and energy efficient vehicles
Public hearing 11 March 2010
On 11 March 2010, the Commission organized a public hearing on the European strategy on clean and energy efficient vehicles. By means of this public hearing, the Commission seeked to engage the stakeholders in a stock-taking with respect to clean and energy efficient vehicles and an assessment of future scenarios in terms of technology and market development including the role of the Commission with respect to these developments.
The contributions received through this hearing as well as in writing will play an important role in the drafting of a Commission's Communication. This Communication will be followed by the concrete actions of the Commission.

Regardless of whether they participated in the hearing or not, all stakeholders are kindly invited to send, by 15 March, their written contribution to entr-green-vehicles@ec.europa.eu [13]. The Commission will ensure that even if stakeholders could not take the floor or participate in the hearing their contributions will be considered. Please note that all the contributions will be published unedited on the Commission's web site.
Stakeholders are free to provide written contributions on relevant areas in any format they prefer, but are encouraged to follow the structure of questions as this will significantly facilitate the organisation of information and will make the drafting and discussion process easier and more structured. Stakeholders are encouraged to share any relevant analyses which they may have on the subject areas being considered. As different stakeholders have a varying level of involvement in different policy areas, they can also limit their comments to those areas which are of particular interest to them.
