-Serious Game Institute (Coventry University): ICT game to model effect of sustainable energy measures and changes on virtual house or community. The target is not households but rather policy makers e.g. in local government as a tool for delivery of action plans.
-Walford and North Shropshire College: Education and training course for farmers and businesses on medium scaled anaerobic digestion for medium scale farms. Link with food and drink processors to maximise use of feed-stocks and opportunities for anaerobic digestion.
-Irridian UK Ltd: Real time energy management for households linked with smart metering. Households can learn the daily/hourly changes in energy demands and observe impact of their behaviour and practical action.
-BEnergised: Mechanism for linking passive sustainable energy measures with improvements to existing housing stock e.g. light and heat with no moving parts, light tunnels, intelligent windows. There is a link with the European Energy Efficiency Directive or Energy services actions for affordable households.
-University of Wolverhampton, West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence: Local working groups for developers, suppliers, policy makers, installers for new sustainable energy technologies in market with small penetration. Creates supply chain, matches supply and demand, increases market uptake of new projects.
-Birmingham City Council: Needs cities and towns that already have plans for large scale implementation of sustainable energy measures. Project will use this work as the basis for training programmes in the labour market. Increase green jobs and capacity in implementation.
-Herefordshire Council: New partnership model between local municipality and local health authority for promoting cycling to referred patients for health reasons, health authority stuff and 18-20 commuters in rural city. Includes a ‘try before buy’ cycle scheme - monitor travel behaviour one week before cycle, and then one week’s experience cycling.
-Staffordshire University: Only projects in renewable energy supply chains, any energy and/or market business development. They have a lot of experience in this area and many current projects in the EU and West Midlands.
-Greenfields Consulting: ICT model of biomass supply, supply chain and heat demand in local area. Enables modelling of local supply chain opportunities and maximises benefits
-INLCUDE Reaching minority groups (e.g. religious, ethnic, cultural, language) with sustainable energy information, engaging them for practical action.
