Letland zoekt partner voor "Fighting against Fraud through training"
Latvian Local Government Training centre (located in Riga, Latvia) is urgently looking for partners for the project "Fighting against Fraud through training: corruptive action causes, risks and solutions" in HERCULE II programme (OLAF) - http://ec.europa.eu/anti_fraud/programmes/index_en.html. Deadline for submission is 11 September.
The objective of the project is to develop and implement specific training programme targeted at municipalities (local government councillors, leaders, municipal institutions', heads of department and NGO leaders and active public persons) for eliminating corruptive cases in municipalities, incl. ~ in the process of implementation of EU programmes on local level.
In order to ensure effective realisation of political decisions for public benefit there should be permanent improvement.Ethical codex in Latvia includes only theoretical guidelines that should be observed, but it proves in practice that it doesn't work efficiently. There are lot of laws and regulations on the state and European level which define corruptive actions and conflict of interest, but the compliance with and realisation of these rules still is weak on regional and municipal level.
LGTC is searching for partners with best practice in developing and implementing training programmes in the area of the fight against fraud, and in designing measures to prevent and combat fraud, corruption and conflict of interest in municipal activities. The training programme should include such topical problems as corruptive action causes, risk identifying and possible solutions and practical advices to fight against it.
Project is planned for 1 year period.
