I would like to present Evenor-Tech in order to belong to a consortium in FP7 ENV.2010. Evenor-Tech is a fully independent company whose groundbase is the MicroLEIS technology, an agro-ecological decision support system. MicroLEIS is based on over 30 years’ dedicated research in land suitability evaluation. The evaluation process entails dynamic interactions between soil, land use, climate and management variables. MicroLEIS also includes 12 modules that allow for the assessment of soil capability and vulnerability, and the consequences of future global change scenarios.
We are looking for participating at FP7 ENV.2010 concerning the following topics:
- ENV.2010.1.1.6-1 Climate change mitigation options linked to deforestation and agriculture in the context of a post-2012 international agreement on climate change.
- ENV.2010.2.1.1-2 Integrated resource management based on land and land-use management.
- ENV.2010.2.1.4-1 Functional significance of forest biodiversity.
- ENV.2010.2.1.4-2 ERA-net on Biodiversity: Towards integrated European biodiversity research strategy and programmes.
- ENV.2010.2.1.4-4 Increasing the understanding of the role of soil biodiversity in ecosystem functioning.
- ENV.2010.3.1.8-1 Development of technologies for long-term carbon sequestration.
Evenor-Tech was created by a team of doctors who have been researching in land evaluation for over 30 years and who have been financed by European Union funding for different projects and contracts since the 1990s. In this sense, we should highlight our participation in the following European projects:
•2002-2005. SCAPE – Soil Conservation and Protection Strategies for Europe.
•1999-2002. SIDASS – A Spatially Distributed Simulation Model for the Selection of Management Practices to Prevent Soil Erosion within European Countries.
Area of expertise: modelling and simulation, GIS, development scenarios, agronomy, ecology, edaphology, guidelines to assist policy makers (European Strategy for Soil Protection), model application-software (pc-version, on-line application), e-learning platform. Additionally, our data bank has information corresponding to 1193 soil profiles of Andalusia region (Southern Spain).
Finally, Evenor-Tech is partner of the Andalusian Network of Environmental Information (REDIAM) belonging to Environmental Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucia). This sets up a specific channel of collaboration to disseminate research results to society and additionally, to focus objectives concerning policy strategies and research works.
