The European Green Cars Initiative provides a financial envelope of € 5 billion to boost the automotive industry in a time of economic hardship. Despite its name, the Green Cars Initiative is not only for passenger cars. The topics include other areas such as trucks, internal combustion engines, logistics and co-modality, intelligent transport systems, and of course electric and hybrid vehicles.
