Inhoud & doelstellingen:
The CIVITAS Initiative provides inspiration to cities and towns interested in achieving a more sustainable, clean and energy efficient urban transport system, by implementing and showcasing ambitious sets of technology and policy based measures. In doing so, CIVITAS does not only fund large demonstrations (i.e. the CIVITAS I, II and PLUS projects) but also smaller projects meant to promote the concrete up-take of the CIVITAS principles and facilitate the building up of critical mass and markets for innovation. Funding opportunities for smaller projects are made available through a dedicated CIVITAS Activity Fund, which regularly opens Calls for Applications.
CIVITAS CATALIST is the project of the CIVITAS Initiative family responsible for ensuring that the experiences of the programme are exploited up to a maximum level and taken up by as large a community of cities as possible.
The CIVITAS Initiative helps cities to achieve a more sustainable, clean and energy-efficient urban transport system by implementing and evaluating an ambitious, integrated set of technology and policy-based measures.
Areas of activities covered by this call for applications
Applications must respond to one of the following eight thematic priorities, in line with the classical CIVITAS Initiative approach:

- Promoting Innovative Soft Measures;
- Promoting Collective Passenger Transport;
- Promoting Transport Management;
- Promoting Integrated Pricing Strategies;
- Promoting Access Management;
- Promoting Urban Goods Transport;
- Promoting Clean Fuels and Vehicles.
It is the objective of CIVITAS CATALIST to achieve a balance for all thematic areas. At least, all thematic areas should be given equal access opportunities.
The spirit of CIVITAS CATALIST is to enable an exchange and/or transfer of experiences between the CIVITAS Cities and other cities interested in the CIVITAS approach to sustainable mobility. Proposals shall take this dimension into account while applying for funding.
