Vanaf 1 september 2010 zullen de eindtermen voor het secundair onderwijs uitgebreid worden met sociaaleconomische aspecten zoals duurzaamheid, budgetbeheer, consumentenopvoeding, ... Reeds nu bestaan er bepaalde tools voor budgetmanagement, en zijn er in ontwikkeling. Het Vlaams Centrum Schuldbemiddeling, het OCMW van Zottegem en het OCMW Poperinge zullen hun projecten komen voorstellen in de aanwezigheid van afgevaardigden van de Vlaamse administratie onderwijs, de Europese Commissie, en Febelfin. De workshop zal worden voorgezeten door Bertel De Groote, voorzitter van het Vlaams Platform Schuldenoverlast en professor aan de universiteit van Gent.

Workshop 2: Jongeren aan het woord
As of 1st September 2010 teachers in Flemish secondary education will have to focus more on aspects of the socio-economic society: role of the authorities, social actors, consumer education, sustainability, budget management, ... Already now different tools for budget management exist or are being developed. Several authors will present in this workshops their tools, in the presence of representatives from the educational system, the European Commission, and Febelfin (Belgian Banking Federation). The workshop will be chaired by Bertel De Groote, president of the Flemish Platform on over indebtedness and professor at the university of Ghent.
