Deze en andere vragen zullen aan bod komen in een klassiek debat waarin een afgevaardige van de Europese Commissie DG Education and Culture/Directorate D Youth, iemand van de European Banking Federation, de Vlaamse Jeugdraad en een Vlaams parlement met elkaar in discussie treden. Het debat zal worden voorgezeten door een Europees Parlementslid (tbc). Het taal van het debat is Engels.

Does the European Youth Pact and the European communication ‘Promoting young people's full participation in education, employment and society' address adequately the youth concerns? How can financial literacy and consumer empowerment contribute to break the intergenerational transmission of poverty? These and other questions will be tackled in a classical debate.
In this classical debate speakers from the European Commission DG Education and Culture/Directorate D Youth (person to be appointed), the European Banking Federation, the Flemish Youth Council and a member of the Flemish parliament will explain why and how financial literacy is important from their point of view, and who's responsible for it. The debate will be chaired by an MEP (tbc).
