Op dinsdag 2 maart 2010 om 14u organiseert het Vlaams-Europees Verbindingsagentschap het themaplatform "Onderwijs en KMO".

De heer Anders Hingel, van de Europese Commissie DG EAC zal de "Progress towards the Lisbon objectives in education and training. Indicators and benchmarks 2009" voorstellen.

Deze vergadering gaat door in de lokalen van het Vlaams-Europees Verbindingsagentschap in de Kortenberglaan 71, 1000 Brussel.

14u10 - 15u00 Spreekbeurt van dhr Heer Anders Hingel, hoofd van de eenheid A.6, Analyse, statistiek en indicatoren van DG EAC binnen de Europese Commissie, "Progress towards the Lisbon objectives in education and training. Indicators and benchmarks 2009",

Sinds 2000, is de performantie van het Onderwijs in de meeste domeinen gedefinieerd door de Europese Onderwijs minister verbeterd met als doel de Lissabon doelstellingen te bereiken. Daar waar de doelstelling rond de toename van MST (wiskunde, wetenschap en technologie) afgestudeerden bereikt zal worden (echter nog niet voor meisjes), zullen de andere 2010 benchmarks wellicht niet worden bereikt en gaat Europa er voor een aantal indicatoren er zelfs op achteruit. Positief is dat meer dan 500.000 EU studenten studeren in het buitenland, een toename van rond de 50% sinds 2000, en 3 van de 4 van deze studeren in een andere EU lidstaat.   Anders Hingel zal ook aangeven waar we naar 2020 naar moeten uitkijken.

The purpose of this report is to inform and provide strategic guidance for education policy co-operation at European level. The report sets out progress towards the objectives agreed by the Council. It provides an evidence-base of indicators, benchmarks and research results which supports the Education and Training 2010 work programme launched in 2001 and its follow-up, the
strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training adopted by the Council in May 2009.
