EUREGHA is een informeel netwerk van regionale overheden met bevoegdheden in het gezondheidsdomein. Het Vlaamse Agentschap 'Zorg en Gezondheid' neemt momenteel het voorzitterschap van Euregha waar. Op 24 juni ek organiseert Eurgeha hara jaarlijkse 'general assembly' te Brussel. Dit is dit jaar een open event, waar beleidsactoren uit het brede gezondheidsbeleid nuttige info en contacten kunnen opdoen rond de gezondheidszorg in het brede Europese veld. Zo zal oa het Belgische voorzitterschap haar prioriteiten inzake het gezondheidsbeleid voorstellen.
The Flanders Region as the current chair of EUREGHA and the Veneto Region would like to invite you to participate at the occasion of the EUREGHA General Assembly to join us into our discussions how regions can both contribute to the European Health Policy and benefit from the existing and future funding opportunities.
The Conference to the General Assembly will be held on the 24th June from 9.30 am to 6 pm in Brussels.
Despite the difficult times in which we live, we believe that 2010 is a critical year to show the interest of regions in playing a more decisive role in health-related issues at the EU level. Given the participation in the first policy panel of the new SANCO Director General, Mrs Paola Testori Coggi, it is particularly important that we address to her our concerns and pinpoint the issues we believe need further EU coordination. For this very reason we strongly recommend the participation of regional decision-makers or policy-makers. To lit the debate, EUREGHA has drafted a survey amongst its members in order to map the regional health priorities.
And, since we are on the turn of a new EU - Presidency, the Belgian Permanent Representation has kindly accepted our invitation to present the health agenda for the next 6 months.
Finally, we would like to flag that the EUREGHA Mental Health WG will organise a Cocktail Reception in the European Parliament on the 23rd June at 6 pm. The event aims to bring together MEPs and regional representatives in order to discuss about fight against stigma attached to mental health disorders.
