Keep up reforms and investment in education and training says key report
Adopted by Education Ministers, the 2010 joint progress report of the Council and the Commission on the implementation of the work programme "Education and Training 2010" is now available online.
The report underlines how important it is to continue reforms and keep up investment in education and training, both to help Europe emerge from the current economic crisis and to support more growth and jobs in the long term.
Based on national education reports and countries' performance against a set of indicators and benchmarks, the report focuses on how to provide all learners with a set of key competences. It also looks at how lifelong learning policies are being put into practice across Europe as well as reforms to improve vocational training and to modernise higher education.
