Tweede communautair actieprogramma op het gebied van gezondheid (2008-2013)
Een oproep tot het indienen van aanvragen „Gezondheid - 2010" wordt vandaag bekendgemaakt in het kader van het tweede communautaire actieprogramma op het gebied van gezondheid (2008-2013).
Deze oproep tot het indienen van aanvragen bestaat uit de volgende delen:
- een oproep tot het indienen van voorstellen voor de toekenning van een financiële bijdrage voor specifieke acties in de vorm van projecten;
- een oproep tot het indienen van voorstellen voor de toekenning van een financiële bijdrage voor specifieke acties in de vorm van conferenties;
- een oproep tot het indienen van voorstellen voor de toekenning van een financiële bijdrage voor het functioneren van niet-gouvernementele organisaties en gespecialiseerde netwerken (operationele subsidies);
- een uitnodiging aan de lidstaten en de deelnemende landen tot indiening van voorstellen voor gezamenlijke acties.
Who can apply?
Country eligibility
To receive Community financial support for a project, i.e. to be a main beneficiary or associated partner, the organisation needs to be legally established in:
- The European Union (any of the 27 Member States), or
- An EFTA country party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway),
- or Croatia
Organizations from other countries can only participate as subcontractors or collaborating partners in projects.
Type of organisation
Non-governmental organisations, public sector bodies, public administrations, universities, higher education establishments, public and private research institutions and commercial firms can submit a project proposal as the main partner or associated partners.
The EAHC expects the competition for grants for projects to be even stronger than in 2009, when less than one out of five proposals could be co-funded by the Union.
In 2010, approximately 28 percent of the operating budget, or 13.399.640 euro, will be spent to allocate to the best projects in public health.
The 2010 Work Plan gives more emphasis and resources to a focused cooperation with Member States. More than 22 percent of the operating budget, or 10.600.000 euro, will be dedicated to funding of joint actions.
Funds will also be made available for grants for conferences (800.000 euro) and operating grants for organisations or specialized networks active in the field public heath (estimated 2.000.000 euro).
How much co-funding?
Normally up to 60 percent of the eligible costs of the project can be covered by the Community contribution. Given the complementary and motivational nature of Community grants, at least 40 percent of project costs must be funded from partners' sources such as staff costs pertaining to national officials and other external resources.
In cases of exceptional utility, projects can receive up to 80 percent co-financing of eligible costs.
